The Nova Scotia-based subsidiary said it looks forward to addressing the province’s cannabis supply shortage issue
Biome Grow Corp (CSE:BIO) (OTCMKTS:ORTFF) subsidiary Highland Grow Inc has received its sales authorization from Health Canada.
Shares of the Toronto-based company surged more than 10% to C$0.64 in Monday morning trading.

The amendment to Highland Grow’s existing Health Canada license, which was awarded last December, allows the Nova Scotia-based company to sell its products to medical and recreational cannabis consumers.
"Biome Grow has been steadfast in its focus on a regional business strategy and building provincial brands that can serve the unique requirements of its local cannabis consumers,” said Biome Grow CEO Khurram Malik in the company’s press release.
“This new amendment marks the complete transition of Biome to a commercial cannabis enterprise in the Canadian market," added Malik.
The company plans to deliver its products to the province once it completes the final distribution steps with the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation.

Biome Grow has five subsidiaries spanning several provinces, including The Back Home Medical Cannabis Corporation in Newfoundland and Labrador, Great Lakes Cannabis and Weed Virtual Retail in Ontario, Red Sands Craft Cannabis on Prince Edward Island and Biome Grow in Nova Scotia.
