To meet rocketing demand, Sugarleaf has asked for additional cultivation space at its existing facilities in Sedro-Woolley
Chemistree Technology Inc () (OTCMKTS:CHMJF) said Tuesday that its Sugarleaf brand in Washington State has booked strong sales and is looking at expanding to keep up with rocketing demand for its products.
In a statement, the Vancouver-based cannabis-investment company said that Sugarleaf saw a 30% sales increase from April, a 36% rise in crop yield, and a 100% boost in retail client stores.
"These numbers are surpassing my expectations and I am really proud of the team at Sugarleaf for their focus on producing a high-quality cultivated product,” said chief cannabis officer Sheldon Aberman, who is also a board member of Chemistree Technology.

“The Sugarleaf order book is now fully spoken for each month and the team now has new clients looking for Sugarleaf products every week. I know I speak for the entire Chemistree management team when I say how pleased we are to be landlords to such an amazing cultivator," he added.
Located in a business park in Sedro-Woolley, Sugarleaf Farm currently operates in a two-story tower style grow, where a room houses the mothers, a few vegging tables and a section for clones as well as R&D on the ground floor. The other level is occupied with a pre-flower room, a gigantic system of reservoirs and tubing which feeds nutrient-rich water to a floor full of flowering plants.
Chemistree said Sugarleaf has asked for additional cultivation space at Sedro Wooley park on a turn-key basis so that the cannabis producer can double its current capacity to meet demand for Sugarleaf branded products. Chemistree emphasized that it was fully on board with the expansion plan.
Sugarleaf has 18 different strains of high-quality cannabis being grown in rotation, including nine major strains and nine minor strains in smaller-batch production. Hand trimming, hand inspection and hand packaging are part of Sugarleaf’s aim to deliver “cannabis perfected.”
