CannaCure’s Fort Erie facility’s extraction capabilities will be boosted by the expansion of three additional rooms

CannaCure will be able to complete the installation of two new Vitalis Q90 extraction systems

Holdings Corp () (OTCMKTS:HERTF) told shareholders Monday that its subsidiary CannaCure Corporation received approval from Health Canada to expand its Ontario extraction facility.

CannaCure’s Fort Erie facility’s extraction capabilities will be boosted by the expansion of three additional rooms as a result of the amended license granted by the Canadian cannabis regulator.

The new rooms will be used to operate extraction machines and other downstream equipment used to extract and produce cannabis oil formulations, Heritage said in a release.

Thanks to the new space, CannaCure will be able to complete the installation of two new Vitalis Q90 extraction systems that were delivered to the facility over the summer. The new systems bring CannaCure’s total to six in Canada.

"We are extremely pleased to be able to bring these rooms online and expand our extraction capabilities at CannaCure,” said Clint Sharples, Heritage’s CEO. "This additional capacity will be required as we look to expand our product and service offerings in 2020."

Heritage estimates the new extraction systems will be brought online early in the new year once it receives manufacturer certification.
