Corp (), is shaking up its management, with the tapping of Clifford Starke as a director to replace Patrick Morris who is stepping down from its board.
Starke is the chairman of Hampstead Private Capital, a merchant bank in Bermuda that focuses on financing and offering advice to small to mid-sized companies, as well as the CEO of Franchise Cannabis Corp, a pharmaceutical cannabis company focused on Europe. Over the last five years, Starke has zeroed in on the cannabis sector and worked as a founder, shareholder, financier and advisor to a number of cannabis companies in areas ranging from genetics and cultivation to distribution and e-commerce.

“I am pleased to join the board and will advise, direct and provide relationships where needed to ensure Mota realizes its vision and achieves success,” said Starke in a statement.
Working from its 2.5 hectare site in Colombia, Mota Ventures is looking to become a large-scale producer and exporter of cannabidiol (CBD) products.
Mota shares held steady at C$0.43 in mid-morning trade on Tuesday.
