On June 2, Mota said it had completed its C$20 million acquisition of European psychedelic medicine company Verrian.
Verrian specializes in products related to addiction reduction, with a lazer focus on alcohol and opiates. The company operates a 110,000 square-foot pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Radebuel, Germany.
"We're honored to be working with Roger, an advocate for patient-first treatment options. Roger's work in advocacy for opiate addiction research will enhance Mota's research efforts and help to draw attention to our ground-breaking psychedelic research as we jointly seek new treatments to help patients overcome addiction," said Mota Ventures CEO Ryan Hoggan.
Clinton is a singer-songwriter, voice-over artist, actor, author, up-close political observer. “He is also a living, inspiring story of recovery,” noted Mota.
According to the company, Clinton has struggled with decades of alcohol and substance abuse that at one point left him clinically dead. Mota said that through his “personal, ongoing journey of recovery” from a life complicated by addiction and trauma, “Roger is grateful to have gained profound insight that he is privileged to share in order to help spread light and optimism" in the world.
