Namaste Technologies and cannabis stocks join a long list of companies targeted by short-seller Andrew Left

Left has launched a series of attacks against cannabis companies recently

In recent months, short-seller Andrew Left, founder of Citron Research, has waged a particularly acrimonious series of attacks against cannabis companies through a series of blistering research reports and barrages against Cronos Group (), (NASDAQ: TLRY) and CV Sciences (OTCMKTS: CVSI) to name a few.

But none has been as noisy as his most recent target, Namaste Technologies (OTCMKTS:NXTTF), which operates the medical cannabis market CannMart as well as an online platform that markets cannabis-related products like vaporizers and smoking accessories.

In recent weeks, through Citron, he's called Namaste shares a "joke" and the company a "fraud," even going so far on Thursday to call its CEO Sean Dollinger a “walking securities violation.”

“If Namaste was a US traded company it would be halted and Dollinger would probably face criminal charges,” wrote Left’s team in a note to investors.

The company has responded to defend itself, but the shares have dipped as a result of Left's public criticisms, falling 6.5% to $1.62 Friday.

For Left, the dramatic run-up in the shares of marijuana companies ahead of the legalization of cannabis in Canada on October 17 is even more ridiculous, he says, than “bitcoin mania.”

But Left's ire isn't limited to the cannabis sector. Here's a list of more than 40 companies that have been on the receiving end of Left’s criticism:
