Namaste Technologies brings in corporate veteran to serve as CFO, adds a fresh face to its board

Annie Holmes has served as CFO of multiple private companies and held senior roles at Smart Employee Benefits and Katanga Mining

Baran Dilaver, who is joining the Toronto-based company’s board, recently worked as COO at cannabis vaporizer producer Firefly Vapor

() (OTCMKTS:NXTTF) has brought in Annie Holmes as CFO and appointed Baran Dilaver to its board of directors. 

Holmes previously served as a Principal of Chartered Course, where she provided strategic and financial advice to public and private clients. She has been the CFO of multiple private companies and held senior financial roles at Smart Employee Benefits Inc (CVE:SEB) and Katanga Mining Inc.

All told, she brings more than 15 years of senior executive experience to the table, with specific experience leading corporations through complex restructurings, international expansion and large capital transactions.

Baran Dilaver, who is stepping onto the Toronto-based company’s board, has executive experience at both public and private companies. He recently worked as COO at cannabis vaporizer producer Firefly Vapor, a successful venture that was eventually sold to a larger company. 

Dilaver helped raise $35 million for , one of the largest Series A capital raises in history, and he co-founded  both FutureScape, a technology-focused product design and branding firm, and AccessX, a boutique venture capital firm focused on biotech and cannabis.

"I would like to welcome both Mr. Dilaver and Ms. Holmes to the Namaste team as they bring extensive experience and capabilities as we move the Company into the next stage of growth," CEO Meni Morim said in a statement. "The addition of Baran and Annie, two outstanding individuals with significant experience in cannabis, consumer packaged goods and financial strategies, will help drive the Company forward."

Holmes is succeeding Ken Ngo, who the company said is leaving to pursue another opportunity. Dilaver is taking the place of Kenneth Jones, who resigned from the board.
