Sean Lockyer, president at Studio AR&D says the company is creating a ‘hip space’ that could become a ‘relaxation destination’ for modern day Rat Packers
(OTCQB:GSRX) announced Friday that it has retained a well-known architect, Studio AR&D and Leap Interior Design to glam up the company’s newest cannabis dispensary in Palm Springs.
By signing a lease in April for a second adult-use and medicinal cannabis dispensary in California, GSRX continues on its path, with a focus on the Golden State.
The Green Room adult-use and medicinal cannabis dispensary in Palm Springs will be located in a building that was home to Riccio’s, an Italian restaurant and favorite Palm Springs hangout for Frank Sinatra and his swaggering Rat Pack pals Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop.

Plans call for the building to be redesigned from the ground up, in a contemporary update on the classic mid-century architectural modern style which thrived in Palm Springs from the 1930s to the mid-1960s.
Inspired by elegance of the Sinatra era
“Inspired by the storied history of this building, where Frank Sinatra and his Rat Pack pals regularly held court in Booth #6, we are honoring the cool style of that era with an updated flair,” said Sean Lockyer, president at Studio AR&D Architects.
“Given its reinvention as a cannabis dispensary, we are creating the kind of hip space that could easily become the new ‘relaxation destination’ for modern day Rat Packers.”
The site is close to The Riviera Resort and Spa Palm Springs and minutes from Palm Springs’ city center, Palm Springs Spa Resort Casino, Palm Springs International Airport, and countless other hotels.
Award-winning Studio AR&D Architects has offices in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, California. The LA office services celebrity clients in Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Brentwood and Malibu in architecture and landscape design, along with fabrication and construction.
Leap Interior Design is a full-service interior design firm with offices in Colorado and California. The firm specializes in residential, hospitality, commercial and retail environments.
Once completed and fully licensed, GSRX’s newest dispensary will offer patients and consumers an "extensive selection of cannabis products," including edibles and accessories, said the company.
GSRX is a rapidly growing Dorado, Puerto Rico-based medical cannabis company which has fingers in many pies. Currently, GSRX operates five cannabis dispensaries in Puerto Rico under the Green Spirit RX brand name. It already owns and operates The Green Room in Point Arena, California so the new dispensary being built in Palm Springs is its second adult-use and medicinal cannabis dispensary in California.
GSRX is also expanding into distribution, extraction and light manufacturing of cannabis and CBD products.
The company’s majority-owned San Francisco extraction company Spirulinex LLC is behind Dragonglass, a wildly popular all-natural dried THC powder combined with organic Spirulina.
GSRX also owns and operates the GetPureAndNatural.com ecommerce site which offers premium hemp extract products.
In New York trading, shares in GSRX pushed 1.2% higher to $0.85.
