Telemedicine: DoktorABC Expands Offerings to Include Cannabis-Based Therapies

PRESS RELEASE

The online platform for doctor and pharmacy services, DoktorABC, has expanded its offerings and now includes medical cannabis-based therapies in Germany. In addition to the more than 35 existing treatment categories and over 1,200 medications, patients can now conveniently receive online treatment with medical cannabis for various health conditions.

Medical cannabis has been partially legalized since April 1, 2024, and is increasingly used to treat chronic pain, neurological disorders, and other health issues. After a medical consultation on the platform, eligible patients can obtain a cannabis prescription online. This option allows patients to receive advice from the comfort of their home and obtain a prescription swiftly, if necessary.

“DoktorABC is currently the only online telemedicine provider that offers both prescription services and home delivery of medications,” said David Barnan, CMO of DoktorABC. “After completing a questionnaire and receiving approval from a doctor, customers can opt for premium delivery within 24 to 48 hours or receive a signed prescription to be filled at a pharmacy of their choice. With seven years of experience in the German telemedicine market, we are proud to have over 6,500 Trustpilot reviews, with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars. This reflects our commitment to availability and excellent service, where the customer always comes first.”

For customers who prefer to collect their medication in person, the combination of an online prescription and face-to-face consultation at a local pharmacy is also available.

With the introduction of cannabis-based therapies, DoktorABC is expanding its range of medical solutions in Germany and reinforcing its commitment to offering innovative, patient-centered healthcare services.
