Wagner played a key role in the medicinal cannabis company’s acquisition of land in Toowoomba for construction of greenhouses
Asterion Cannabis Inc said Wednesday that it has appointed John Wagner as strategic advisor to CEO Stephen Van Deventer and to the board of wholly owned subsidiary Asterion Australia Pty Ltd.
Wagner is co-founder of Wagners Holding Co, a maker of construction materials in South East Queensland, Australia. He’s also inaugural chair of the Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprises.

“Having John Wagner as an advisor will assist in fostering long-term and deeply-rooted community and strategic relationships for Asterion in Australia,” said Van Deventer in a statement from the privately held company.
Wagner played a key role in the medicinal cannabis company’s acquisition of property in Toowoomba to construct about 40 hectares, or 99 acres, of greenhouses for the production of high-quality medicinal cannabis.
